ITECHMER, our appointment with the fishing sector

Pascal CITEAU - Director of MARINELEC

From the 14th to the 16th of October MARINELEC will be present at ITECHMER fair in Lorient. This biennial event is an opportunity to meet our customers and partners, installers, shipyards and resellers, but above all shipowners and fishermen who are the users of our products. The exhibition allows us to better understand their issues and provide them our expertise and solutions on the technical and regulatory level. For 40 years, MARINELEC is alongside the fishermen and develops equipment that meets reliability requirements, and performance essential to their safety and the safety of their ship.

The fair will be an opportunity for MARINELEC to recall the developments which for 40 years now helps to improve the safety of the ships (Fire detection, bilge detection, BNWAS, etc.) but also to present all the innovations and new developments that meet the market expectations in terms of energy management. Involved in several projects labeled "ship of the future", MARINELEC will also participate in a panel discussion on these topics, Thursday, October 15 at 11am.

MARINELEC team will welcome you on the stand B70 (IPC).

40 years at the service of the maritime world

ECCS and MARINELEC growing together

ECCS has over 260 employees. Its marine activity which was launched in 1982 represents fifty employees spread over several sites in Sables d'Olonne, Noirmoutier and Lorient. Since the start of its business, the enterprise has worked with MARINELEC Technologies, as described by Patrick Nicoleau, Manager of the Marine Department.

Patrick Nicoleau -ECCS

"ECCS first called upon MARINELEC Technologies' services in 1985 to equip a high-speed fishing vessel, "Le Bel Outil", built by the shipyard OCEA for a shipowner in Fécamp. At the time, Arnaud Lemesle and his father, came to help with the technical and sales plans. Our constructive discussions encouraged us to develop a real partnership for all the boats that we have equipped, especially the series built by BENETEAU Fishing for the overseas market. It is true to say that ECCS and MARINELEC Technologies have grown together...

For CMN, MARINELEC is a "rapid response force"

CMN is a large civilian and military shipyard based in Cherbourg. More than 700 ships have been produced in the shipyard which is currently expanding. Since 2013, CMN has, in particular, built 24 fishing units (21 longliners and 3 trawlers) and will soon finalise the delivery of 6 patrol boats for Mozambique. For 35 years Rémy Lacotte has been in charge of the electricity design office at CMN and works with MARINELEC.

"Our collaboration started twenty years ago with Messrs Lemesle, Father and Son. We started with the installation of level sensors and now install more and more elaborate MARINELEC systems.

We have a relationship that I would describe as very simple: with MARINELEC, we are above all dealing with professionals. It is a small company that listens carefully to what we say and is fully capable of supplying us with an electrical distribution system or customised panels for example. I am in regular contact with the design office, the technicians who carry out the commissioning, the sales representatives and the customer services department. We have a close, trusting relationship with the whole team.
