UMAS, visual signaling system for ROV and diving operations

Powerline technology has applications on oil and gas offshore support vessels. Presented for the first time at SMM Hamburg exhibition, UMAS uses an application that improves safety by increasing the reliability of internal communications of the ships .

In partnership with Seamatic for application on Platform Supply Vessels, Marinelec Technologies developed its first visual signaling system for underwater work. Until now the communication with the ship's operators and the staff onboard was only done by radio. UMAS consists of light columns and touch screens associated with the existing radio system.

Schéma UMAS

This system allows to broadcast a visible and accessible information through light signals strengthening the safety of ship and operators through better surveillance. Simple, clear and precise, the signals can be seen by all: staff, officers , clients, from  the wheelhouse, the PC control, the ROV ans Sat dive contol offices, cabins and common areas.

UMAS uses the power line communication tehcnology thus reducing wiring and make substantial savings. This allows perfect synchronization of signals and a computer surveillance of each system component.

PHOENIX panel reach Australia

MV Epicure - DR

Developed by MARINELEC in 2013, the Phoenix fire detection panel seduced our customers both in France and abroad. Commercial success is confirmed by the latest equipment of three australian police vessels, a marine park vessel and the cruise ship MV Epicure, a dinner cruise vessel in aluminum of 35 m built in Queensland and operated in Sydney Harbour by Incat Crowther company.

This MARINELEC equipment meets in a competitive way, the demand of the vessels whose characteristics require the "cause and effect" function; That is to say, to address an alarm or a specific function only to the fire affected area, this is the case of the Police vessels and the  MV Epicure.
